In topic 1 we discussed what Normative and Idiosyncratic changes come about when a child is entering adolescence. From researching, I believe the most important indications of adolescence are physical. In other words, focus on when a young person is going through puberty and developing secondary sex characteristics is informative of what too might be going psychologically. When puberty hits, hormones and neurochemicals change effecting the brain.
As a teacher, I would be look for indications of these changes in order to gauge how an adolescent might receive and interpret information.

Linked to this page are articles and studies that depict what might be going on in an adolescent brain during puberty, how the brain changes, and how information in received differently. These resources are useful tools that I can use in the future to better understand how to teach adolescents
