Module 2: Technology

Standards for Education

Module 2 taught me about the various standards and guidelines that inform the use of technology in the classroom and they vary depending on what role someone plays in education; However, the guidelines and standards also relate in many ways and so I made a mind map to show the relations between the following:

​

• ISTE Standards for Students and Teachers (International)

• The Learning and Technology Policy Framework (Alberta)

• The ICT Program of Studies (Alberta)

• Teaching Quality Standards (Alberta)

I used coggle to make my mind map. It wasn't too difficult but it did take a long time. This might be a good way to assess students in class, and a good activity for students to work together and discuss similar connections related to a topic they are learning about.
