ELA GRADE 7 FLYER FOR APPS TO MEET PROGRAM OF STUDIES OBJECTIVES
Please visit the flyer that I made using "smore" here --->
While compiling the list of apps in this flyer I looked for apps that I thought were interesting first and then went and looked at what objectives this app could be useful in meeting. I also tried to look at some objectives for a couple of the inputs and tried to find an appropriate app that would meet that objective. Therefore I used the curriculum to find what technology tools could be useful as well as doing it the other way around by looking at what apps would seem interesting to a student's perspective and tried to find curriculum objectives that could be met using the desired technology. I learned that a teacher effectively incorporates technology into the class by looking the SAMR model as one way of analyzing how technology is being useful in the classroom. I looked at what purpose it can serve, and how it can either enhance of transform a student learning experience (Hilton, 2016, p.69-70).

In each individual app section you will find which learning theory the app aligns with, how the app can be used in the classroom, parental and ethical considerations for the app as well as how the app can help students meet objectives found I the ELA Program of Studies.

I enjoyed looking at what type of technology and apps I could potentially use as a teacher in the classroom. I had no idea there were so many to choose from and how useful they can be in aiding both a teacher's lesson planning, but also in aiding a student reach the intended learning objectives of each lesson. I think the use of apps in classrooms will be particularly interesting and engaging for students so I was excited to be abkle to look into some potential ones for academic purposes.
